Sushio has a way to convey so much with so few lines. The colours used, the character poses, the concepts are all what we like about Japanese anime and manga. The style here is the epitome of Japanese manga or anime style. The way Sushio draws the characters is so stylish, dynamic and sometimes wacky. To say that I was thrilled to see so many artworks from those anime series in this book is an understatement. I'm a big fan of the animation Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann. When I saw the Kill la Kill artworks, I was like "Oh my goodness, so this is the artist who drew those crazy characters."
